We are looking for resource for the post of Senior Engineer in UAE(Abu Dhabi) Job Purpose: - To lead and provide the expertise required for the development of communication, data link and Mission system solutions for autonomous system applications. Qualifications/Education/Experience/Training • B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, preferably followed by an M.Sc. • Minimum 10 years of experience leading the development of Data links and Mission systems and applying system-engineering best practices, of which minimum 5 years in developing high bandwidth data links for AS applications. • Preferably be recognized by a reputable international engineering Institute such as the IEEE and/or INCOSE at Senior Member seniority level. Job Responsibilities - TO lead, select and size antennas and perform link budget analysis and validate the analysis. - To lead and perform trade studies and select the best option from different modulation techniques. - To lead and define the technical specification for data link subsystems following group system engineering processes. - To lead, select and use commercial off the-shelf (COTS) communications product solutions. - To lead and test data links and validate performance based on BER, link budget, EMI, REI, etc. - To lead, define, select and implement communication protocol requirements including Ethernet switches and to develop ICDs. - To lead and perform trade studies regarding information system security and determine the best solution. - To lead and define video device technical specifications, perform trade studies and verify validity of the solution experimentally. - To lead analysis related to video quality issues (i.e. Delays, clarity, etc.) and their impact on end use. - To lead the specification effort for the functionalities of the various types of payloads such as EO/IR , SONAR, RADAR Laser designator, etc. - To follow the V model for product development and apply ARP4754. - To follow the MIL-STD-961D standard for developing system specifications. - To support and contribute to program milestones and major reviews (such as various SDR, PDR, CDR, TRR, etc.). Technical Skills: - Business acumen, - Document/report drafting skills. - Technical writing skills. - Expertise in RF and digital communication, error detection and error correction techniques. - Expertise in communication sub-system requirements and technical specification generation. - Wide experience using Ethernet, RS232, RS422 and RS485 protocols.- - Expertise in communications equipment sub-assembly functions and interfaces such as data link system radio technology, antenna systems, tracking controllers and power supplies. - Expert knowledge of Digital Signal Processing and modeling (using software tools such as MATLAB, SciLab, Octave). - Basic knowledge of DSP FPGA development and the VHDL protocol - The use oscilloscopes, protocol analyzers and spectrum analyzers. - Working knowledge with the ARP4754, DO -178B and - DO-254 uideline and MIL-STD 961D standard.
