i-Lance is the first fully open, commissionless and disintermediated self-service European freelance marketplace. We gather highly skilled Freelancers, reference their profiles on our platform and bring them in direct contact with end-clients without any intermediaries nor commissions. Companies face an increasing need to rapidly find in demand skills to boost their business activities and respond to a constantly changing global business environment. Therefore, there is a strong need for a transparent and cost-efficient platform, referencing skilled freelancers from all-over the world. By using i-Lance, clients can thus get a full and instance access to our database of highly qualified Freelancers with diverse and rare skills. We do not charge any commissions and offer our services for the by far, lowest subscription fee on the market. Freelancers on the other hand can benefit of a massive network effect, find their missions without any intermediaries and negotiate their work terms themselves, directly with their clients without any intermediaries.

For many decades, the freelancing market has been hindered by numerous intermediaries. People without any technical knowledge, who are charging commissions just to forward CVs to clients without properly screening the candidates. i-Lance offers a radically different approach based on the short supply chain. Clients and hiring managers can directly contact freelancers based on their profile and CV and formulate their precise requirements by posting an unlimited number of offers. Moreover, they can directly negotiate the terms and the daily rates with freelancers without any miscommunications. Our approach leads to a more transparent market and efficient outcomes.

No, we simply provide an internet infrastructure marketplace that allows to centralise and bring together the supply and the demand on the freelance market. We can provide assistance both to clients and freelancers when needed, but we do not intervene at the matchmaking and hiring processes. i-Lance is a self-service platform that lets clients and freelancers get in direct contact to discuss the terms of their cooperation. Once the first contact is made, our missions ends.

i-Lance is fully open to everyone, freelancers, companies, private individuals, without any geographic limitations. It is perfectly adapted for companies of all sizes (Start-ups, SME’s or large corporations) and to individuals seeking to launch their own project with the help of freelancers. You can work with Freelancers for long-term contracts (contracting), medium-term assignments or even small gigs. Anything is possible on i-Lance and users make their own arrangements between them in terms of work conditions, as well as in terms of pricing.

We offer 100% free services when you opt for a private or invisible profile. There is a small monthly (15€/month + VAT) or yearly (125€/year + VAT) subscription fees if you want to make your freelancer profile public and increase your visibility on the market. There are no any additional service fees, nor commissions.

You can choose between 3 types of profiles: “public”, “private” and “invisible”. With a public freelance profile any i-Lance visitor will be able to see your full name and your full profile, except your CV. Moreover, your profile will be referenced on all the global search engines. The purpose is to increase your visibility on the market and allow everyone (not only i-Lance users) to contact you through social media channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.) and make you proposals. With a private freelance profile only registered i-Lance clients will be able to see your profile. With an invisible freelance profile your profile will be visible only to the specific client who posted the offer to which you apply and when you apply to the mission.

You can search for projects and apply to the offers that interest you. You can simply apply with your profile in one click or attach your CV and add a personalised message to the client to express your interest. If you opt for a private profile, i-Lance clients will be able to find your profile on the platform and will contact you directly through the private messaging system to make you an offer. If you opt for a public profile, anyone will be able to find your profile and clients will be able to contact you through other social media channels to make you offers. The purpose it to make clients chase you and not the other way around.

i-Lance is a fully transparent and phygital platform. We simply create a place where clients and freelance talents connect with each other, but after that, it’s completely up to you. Once you get in contact with a client, you negotiate your own daily rates, the terms, sign the contract, prepare the timesheets, get them approved, etc. All we do is promote freelance talents and build our marketplace without intervening in the relationships between freelancers and clients. We keep it as simple and stupid as possible.

You will pay only a small monthly (35€/month + VAT) or yearly (300€/year + VAT) subscription fees to get the full access to all our services. There are no any additional service fees, nor commissions.

i-Lance is substantially cheaper than anything similar available on the market. Currently, recruiters charge on average 75€ per day of work in commissions. It amounts to 1,500€ a month and 18,000€ per year VAT excl. That’s what it costs to hire just one single freelancer and the commissions can get as high as 30% of the daily rate. Thus, the more your hire on i-Lance, the more you spare. Therefore, you can either spare funds for your company, recruit more freelancers or offer better rates to attract better talents. Now if you compare i-Lance to other similar platforms, i-Lance subscription is over 80% cheaper on average than its competitors and doesn’t involve any limitations in its services.

i-Lance currently has more than 4,000 registered freelancers. The majority are located in Belgium, Netherlands, France, UK, Germany and Poland. Most freelancers are specialised in the ICT with expertise in software, web and mobile development, DevOps, SAP, Salesforce, Microsoft Products, IT Infrastructure, Databases, Big Data, Testing, etc. We also count many Marketing experts, Designers, UI/UX experts, HR, Finance, Administrative workers, Accountants, Project Managers, Consultants and Lawyers. You can hire them for long-term projects as well as for small gigs.

Since some freelancers value their privacy and do not want to be bothered by requests, there are 2 types of profiles on i-Lance, invisible and visible. You can search for all the visible profiles and contact them directly through the private messaging system. However, you cannot take a direct contact with invisible profiles. In order to reach them, you can post mission offers and they will apply if they get interested in your offer. It is very simple and takes less than 5 minutes. All the registered freelancers can apply to your offers with their profile, CV and a personalised message. Thus, once an invisible profile applies to your project offer, you will be able to see their profile and contact them in case if you are interested in their application.
